Beneva Basics LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the Agent Anchor tide and fishing planning tools at agentanchor.ai (the "Service"). This policy explains what information the Service handles and how it's used.
The Service saves your search preferences in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. Two separate sets are stored:
tidePlannerPrefs for the tide planner: your selected station, the tide level you searched for and whether you wanted the water above or below it, and your earliest and latest hours.agentAnchorFishing for the fishing planner: your selected station, chosen mode, tide level and direction of comparison, and hours.These are written when you run a search and read back when the page loads, so your settings are ready next time. We deliberately do not save the dates you search for. This data stays on your device. We don't receive, transmit, or store it, and it isn't linked to your identity.
Because the Service is an installable app, your browser also caches pages, icons, the station list, and tide data you've already requested, so it keeps working offline. That cached data stays on your device too. Clearing site data for agentanchor.ai removes all of it.
Tide predictions come from the NOAA Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS) public API. When you run a search, your browser requests tide data from NOAA directly for the station and dates you chose. NOAA may log that request as any public API logs requests. We don't control NOAA's data practices.
The Service loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to fetch them, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. We may add website analytics in the future to understand overall traffic, and we'll update this policy before we do.
We may display ads through Google AdSense or similar networks. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. This policy doesn't cover the data practices of ad networks or their partners.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. It lets you accept, reject, or choose which purposes you agree to, and records that choice so you aren't asked again on every visit. You can reopen it at any time to change your mind, and rejecting it doesn't limit anything the planners do.
The consent record is held by the consent management provider that displays the message, not by us.
The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
You can clear your stored preferences and cached data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for agentanchor.ai. If you've installed the app, uninstalling it removes the same data.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
